Heat-control window film
This is the most common reason people call. One or two rooms take the full afternoon sun and stay warm no matter what the thermostat says. Much of that heat comes in through the glass, which is where solar film works.

What you actually get.
Heat reduced at the window
Solar control film reflects and absorbs part of the sun's energy before it enters the room.
More even temperatures
Sunny rooms run closer to the temperature of the rest of the house, so they are easier to use in the afternoon.
Less glare at the same time
Most heat-control films also cut glare, so the room is more comfortable to sit in and to watch a screen in.
This is usually for:
- West and south-facing rooms
- Sunrooms and enclosed porches
- Rooms with large sliding doors
- Upstairs rooms that stay warm into the evening
Films that reduce the most heat are usually more visible from outside. Lighter films keep a more natural look with less heat reduction. Stewart can explain the options so you can choose the balance you prefer.

Decide which windows you want treated and measure the width and height of each if you can. Take photos from inside, ideally when the sun is hitting the room, so Stewart can see the glare or heat. If a site visit is needed, make sure the windows are easy to reach.
